– Standard Format
– Single Elimination

– Standard Format
– Minimum 60 cards in deck
– Bucky card errata will be set in place
– Banned Cards: “Hiram Flavorsham – Toymaker” and “Fortisphere.”
Yu-Gi-Oh TCG
– Advanced Format
– Official banned card list will be enforced
Magic the Gathering: Commander
– 2 round, 1 hour per round Commander
– 4 person pods
– Points System:
### *Combat and Aggression*
– *First Blood:* +1 point to the first player to deal combat damage to an opponent.
– *Eliminator:* +3 points for eliminating a player (max +9 points if you eliminate all three opponents +1 bonus point).
– *Biggest Swing:* +1 point for dealing the most combat damage in a single turn.
– *Overkill:* +1 point for dealing 10 or more damage to a single player in one turn. —
### *Board State and Control*
– *Monarch of the Table:* +1 point for becoming the Monarch (if the mechanic is in play).
– *Commander Damage Victory:* +2 points for eliminating a player with commander damage.
– *Permanent Presence:* +1 point for controlling the most permanents at the end of the game.
– *Diverse Army:* +1 point for controlling creatures with 3 or more different creature types. —
### *Spells and Interaction*
– *Counter King/Queen:* +1 point for countering 3 or more spells in a game.
– *Wrathful:* +1 point for casting a board wipe that destroys 5 or more creatures.
– *Spellslinger:* +1 point for casting 3 or more spells in a single turn.
– *Clutch Save:* +1 point for saving another player from elimination (e.g., by removing a lethal threat or countering a game-winning spell). —
### *Card Advantage and Resources*
– *Drawing Power:* +1 point for drawing 10 or more cards in a single turn.
– *Mana Mastery:* +1 point for having 10 or more lands on the battlefield.
– *Treasure Hoarder:* +1 point for creating 5 or more Treasure tokens in a game.
– *Graveyard Guru:* +1 point for having 10 or more cards in your graveyard. —
### *Fun and Flavorful Achievements*
– *Commander Enthusiast:* +1 point for casting your commander 3 or more times in a game.
– *Theme Deck Bonus:* +1 point for playing a deck that aligns with a specific theme (e.g., tribal, all permanents, etc.)—announce this before the tournament.
– *Comeback Kid:* +1 point for winning the game after being at 5 or fewer life.
– *Diplomat:* +1 point for making a deal with another player that directly leads to an opponent’s elimination. —
### *Negative Points (Penalties)*
– *Slow Play:* -1 point for excessive slow play (as determined by the pod or judge).
– *Breaking a Deal:* -2 points for breaking a deal made with another player.
– *Eliminated Early:* -1 point for being the first player eliminated in a game. —
### *End-of-Game Bonuses*
– *Victory Points:* +5 points for winning the game.
– *Second Place:* +3 points for being the last player eliminated.
– *Third Place:* +1 point for being the second player eliminated. —
### *Example Scoring System* Here’s how you could structure the points for a single game:
– *Winning the Game:* +5 points
– *Eliminating a Player:* +3 points per elimination
– *First Blood:* +1 point – *Biggest Swing:* +1 point
– *Counter King/Queen:* +1 point
– *Commander Damage Victory:* +2 points
– *Negative Points:* -1 for slow play or breaking deals —
### *Tips for Using the Points System*
– *Keep It Simple:* Don’t overload players with too many achievements. Focus on 5-10 key ones that encourage fun and interactive play.
– *Print a Cheat Sheet:* Provide players with a list of achievements and their point values so they can track them during the game.
– *Encourage Fair Play:* Use negative points sparingly and only for clear violations (e.g., slow play or breaking deals).
